Selling fast!

Over 1/2 tickets available are sold for Jacquie's workshop Saturday, Sept. 8.  Don't drag your feet if you've been considering this!  Limited copies of Quilting Modern have arrived at the store and are selling.  Why limited number?  The 1st printing has sold out completely, and the re-print is due in mid-September.  We'll have bookplates for Jacquie to sign if you don't get a book by the time she arrives.....and you can order your copy through Hip Stitch.

It only took 37 (thirty-seven!) YEARS to make!

Just when I was about to give up on the abandoned, unfinished 3/4 knit shawl  at the bottom of my UFO basket,  Anne walks in the door wearing this beautiful  hand-sewn and hand-embroidered (by Anne herself!) blouse.   So what's the big deal, why the long sentence about that, you ask ? ANNE STARTED THIS PROJECT before some of you were born, when Gerald Ford was president IN 1975!   ANNE FINISHED THIS PROJECT IN 2012!  Our own beautiful Anne just may be the UFO world record holder.

Hipster's Craft Fair

Here's a sampling of yesterday's craft show, which was a great success.....despite all the construction going on just up the street, which makes it very hard to get here if  you're coming north on Wyoming!
